Explore Hamburgs most diverse quarter- St Georg!
St Georg- this quarter is synonymous for a rich diversity of people living next to each other in one of the most popular Hamburg areas. Many Hamburg visitors stay in one of the countless hotels and hostels during their stay in our city, but not too many truly explore the area. Let us show you around this fascinating place. We will discover the vibrant gay scene as well as the numerous bars, pubs and restaurant on the rather posh Lange Reihe street. Just a quick walk around the corner will then bring us into the Middle East. The Steindamm district is full of oriental shops and restaunrants and makes you feel as if you were in Kairos or Istanbul. In between these two most different streets lies the Hansaplatz. This square is surrounded by impressive old buildings on the one hand. On the other hand it is a meeting point for those, who struggle in their lives. Since St Georg is also home of Hamburgs bustling central station you will not see that many different people in such a small area anywhere else in Hamburg. Churches and mosques, sex shops and top notch restaurants, dodgy bars and high end cocktail bars. Let us take you on a journey that will make you forget your daily routine.
Come and book a fascinating guided walk!
